Kia Seltos Design vs. the Competition
Each SUV seats five passengers, but the Kia Seltos is far more spacious. Utilize 26.6 to 62.8 cubic feet of cargo space in the Kia Seltos, compared to 25.3 to 54.4 cubic feet in the Chevy Trailblazer and 20.8 to 55.3 cubic feet in the Subaru Crosstrek. Outside, the Kia Seltos matches the Trailblazer with captivating two-tone roof exterior designs featuring a roof in a separate color.
Kia Seltos Performance vs. the Competition
The Kia Seltos is more fuel-efficient than the compact SUV competition by earning 29/35 (city/highway) miles per gallon. These figures top the Chevy Trailblazer (29/33) and the Subaru Crosstrek (27/34).
The Kia Seltos also has an easier time accelerating in Los Angeles traffic along The 405/San Diego Freeway, thanks to an available turbocharged engine delivering just shy of 200 pound-feet of torque. The Trailblazer counters with two turbocharged engines, but neither powertrain surpasses the torque barrier of 175 pound-feet. The Crosstrek's pair of Subaru Boxer engines top out at 176 pound-feet of torque.
The Crosstrek includes Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive that mirrors the Kia Seltos' Adaptive All-Wheel Drive with Torque Vectoring Cornering Control. But Kia's SUV offers smooth-shifting ability along the Pacific Coast Highway with the 7-speed quick-shift DCT automatic transmission.
Kia Seltos Tech & Safety vs. the Competition
Kia DriveWise mirrors the safety features with the Trailblazer's Chevy Safety Assist suite and the Crosstrek's Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist technology.
The Kia Seltos offers larger touchscreens than each competitor. All three crossovers include standard with Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™ compatibility, but the Trailblazer's Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system only has a 7-inch touchscreen, and the Crosstrek's Subaru STARLINK® Multimedia setup only comes with a 6.5-inch display. Available touchscreens are only eight inches. The Kia Seltos includes a standard 8-inch screen and offers a class-leading 10.25-inch touchscreen paired with navigation.
